All those who think Reed Doughty should be playing more for the Redskins should be happy today. Both of 'em. Laron Landry, deleted tweets and all, will miss the opener against the Giants. Which sucks because Landry played at an All-Pro level when healthy last season. According to Landry, the Achilles is fine -- now it's the hamstring, which he strained working out before the Indianapolis preseason game, and aggravated in practice this week.
Landry has apologized for the tweets he posted ripping the Redskins training staff. He now says the aggravated hamstring is his own fault -- that he pushed too hard. Whoever is to blame, the Skins need him healthy and soon for their defense to be at its best.
In other news, ESPN 980's Chris Russell is griping that he's wet, which is the unsurprising result of going to an outdoor football practice without rain gear when there's a 100% chance of Noah-level deluge.
